The RatAlert gameplay has many moving parts and it can be hard to anticipate how players will progress through the game. Would they maximize their $FFOOD earnings to spend them on additional character NFTs? Would they try to acquire as much $CFOOD as possible to get their hands on those rare LeStake© kitchens?
It turns out that players have one focus, and one focus only: Staking their characters at LeStake© to accumulate (and hodl!) as much of RatAlert’s DAO token $GFOOD as possible. They don’t care that the token’s utility is yet to come in future updates of the game. What they know is that $GFOOD will play a significant role in the future and they have become experts in avoiding every mishap and catastrophic event that the game throws at them!
So what’s the problem? Well, gamers are earning too much $GFOOD. Approx. 25% of the token’s play2earn supply has already been minted. If this continues at the current pace, the token will be minted out by early October.
Why is that bad? The other tokens still have a designed runway of 12+ months while the GFOOD play2earn supply runs out in a few months which is creating a number of problems for the future economy of RatAlert:
- No-one would be incentivized to keep cooking in LeStake
- No kitchen items and upgrades can be deployed for LeStake as nobody would use them
- No price appreciation because no extra utility can be added to LeStake before supply runs out
- All future roadmap items/ideas that involve LeStake cannot be developed as nobody would play those features
DAO Proposal #2 was created to counter the fatal scenarios listed above which were accepted by the community.
Proposal #2 aims to cut deeply into the daily income of chefs at LeStake©: What used to be 12.5 $GFOOD per day was now reduced to 1 $GFOOD per day. We realize that cutting the daily rewards has a bad effect on the ROI of LeStake, but at the same time the sell pressure is also drastically reduced which should increase $GFOOD’s price in the medium term.
This change is very crucial to the future economy of RatAlert and prevents the aforementioned fatal scenarios that would deeply affect the game’s economy in the long term.
